Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is the name for a collection of lung diseases including chronic bronchitis, emphysema and chronic obstructive airways disease. The main symptom of COPD is an inability to breathe in and out properly. This is also referred to as airflow obstruction.

If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.

Test Results
Enquiries about results should be made after 12:30pm. In order tomaintain confidentiality, laboratory results will only be given directly to the patient or carer.

Home Visits
Home visits are for patients who are housebound and for those who are too ill and cannot attend the surgery. Please call the surgery before 11.00am if you wish to request a home visit. Please give a brief description of the symptoms and give a contact telephone number.
