Clinics and Services

immuniseBlood Tests

Blood tests are not done routinely at the surgery. Please book an appointment at one of the local community clinics.

Hospital Courier Service

Specimens to be tested at the hospital are collected by the courier at 2.00pm.Please bring all specimens e.g. urine, to the surgery on that day before 1pm. Please note we do not have any storage facilities for specimens.

Other Non-NHS Services Medical examinations for HGV, PSV licences and pre-employment medical etc. are not covered by the NHS. A fee is payable for these medical examinations, please check with reception staff for these. Medical Examinations take time so please tell the Receptionist the purpose of the appointment so that they can book an appropriate amount of time.

Private Forms

All non NHS forms for completion will attract a fee. A fee list is available in the reception. Some of these forms require detailed review of your entire medical notes and so please allow plenty of time to process them.

If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.

Test Results
Enquiries about results should be made after 12:30pm. In order tomaintain confidentiality, laboratory results will only be given directly to the patient or carer.

Home Visits
Home visits are for patients who are housebound and for those who are too ill and cannot attend the surgery. Please call the surgery before 11.00am if you wish to request a home visit. Please give a brief description of the symptoms and give a contact telephone number.
